After a successful six months of weekly exhibitions STUFF gallery presents STUFFED, a major group show through September.
STUFFED will include a gallery curated exhibition as well as the eagerly awaited art-in-a-plastic-bag show received from artists based near and far. Artists have been invited to stuff a small plastic bag with whatever they see fit, and the results of these stuffings will be exhibited in the gallery.
STUFF has also invited twenty artists to take part in STUFFED. These artists will take over and transform three floors of empty warehouse space at STUFF. Works range from a maze constructed of large scale paintings to a microcosmic world created from furniture. The exhibition also includes installation, photography, sculpture, video and drawing.
Participating artists include;
Amanda Beech, Matthew Poole, Matthew Walmsley, Sofia Hulten, Stephanie Douet, Kypros Kyprianou and Simon Hollington, Paul Merrison, Hans Scheirl, Julian Broadhurst, Jason ODea, Paul Rooney, Otiose, Rart and Sete, Helen Albion, Graham Seaton, Mary Robinson, Sarah Sutherland and Olivia Plender.
Performances by Paul Lake, Lee Holden and Mark Wilsher will take place at various times during September. (Times for these performances will be advertised)
And if that’s not enough STUFFED will close with a multi-media extravaganza and BBQ on Sunday 24th September. An event not to be missed the day will incorporate live performance, music, and our infamous cocktail bar.
